Washington (CNN) — While reaching out to supporters through one of the latest high-tech means, President Obama expanded his social media experience by holding a Google+ video chat room interview Monday afternoon.

In an election year, it’s probably not good politics to talk about what you look forward to doing after your time in the White House, but that’s exactly what President Obama did when asked about the frustrations of living in the security bubble.

(CNN) — U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned Iran on Sunday to not view the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops from Iraq as an opportunity to try to build its influence in the country.

“No one, most particularly Iran, should miscalculate about our continuing commitment to and with the Iraqis going forward,” she told CNN’s “State of the Union” when asked whether Iran’s relationship with Iraq is a concern.

In an interview last week with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said his country will not increase its involvement with Iraq because of the U.S. withdrawal. “I don’t think there is going to be any change,” Ahmadinejad said.

WASHINGTON — In a fiery summons to an important voting block, President Barack Obama told blacks on Saturday to quit crying and complaining and “put on your marching shoes” to follow him into battle for jobs and opportunity.

And though he didn’t say it directly, for a second term, too.

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is taking serious the still unconfirmed intelligence tip of a possible al-Qaida plot tied to the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, counterterrorism adviser John Brennan said Sunday.                                                                                                                                                  The threat reported to authorities Wednesday night remains “specific and credible,” Brennan said during interviews with “Fox News Sunday” and CBS’ “Face the Nation.”
                                 
“Again, it’s not confirmed, but the president wants to make sure that we leave no stone unturned,” he said. “And that’s what the intelligence, law enforcement and homeland security communities are doing.”

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — President Michele Bachmann has a promise: $2 gas.

“Under President Bachmann you will see gasoline come down below $2 a gallon again,” Bachmann told a crowd Tuesday in South Carolina. “That will happen.”

Sure, politicians promise all kinds of things on the campaign trail. But Bachmann, a leading contender for the 2012 Republican nomination, is wading into truly tricky territory.

The price Americans pay at the pump is tied to the crude oil market — a global system largely beyond the reach of Washington.

It’s certainly true that prices — now about $3.50 a gallon on average — have risen since President Obama took office.

Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, businessman Herman Cain, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Texas Rep. Ron Paul, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum will participate in the June 13 debate on the campus of Saint Anselm College.

WASHINGTON — Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich said Monday he may run for a House seat in another state if he loses his Ohio seat to redistricting next year The well-known liberal who has run for president twice said people
across the country have been asking him to run in their states. He said
he’s nowhere near making a decision.”If I am forced to move, then I certainly am going to consider
moving,” the eight-term congressman said in a telephone interview.
“Obviously, I am only going to go where I am wanted.”

Abbottabad, Pakistan (CNN) — Pakistan will allow the United States to question or take into custody the apparent wives of Osama bin Laden only if their “country of origin has been asked for permission,” a senior Pakistani intelligence source told CNN on Monday.

One of bin Laden’s wives is from Yemen, the official said.

Pakistani officials have said bin Laden’s family members will be repatriated to their home countries after initial interrogations are completed.

CNN) – Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer she does not want to serve a second term as secretary of state or run for president of the United States.

Blitzer sat down with the former 2008 presidential candidate in Cairo.

Speaking on NBC’s Today Show, Clinton notably avoided answering directly whether she would be willing to stay in the high-profile position should President Obama win a second term, instead making clear she is looking forward to returning to private life.
